A brief description of the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
· Master’s degree preferably from US College or university
· Valid Certification
· At least two years’ full time teaching or counseling experience in elementary or secondary school, and two years’ experience as a school psychologist in elementary or secondary school
· Experience implementing RTI
· Success developing a framework to support high achieving students
· International experience preferred
· Conversant in web 2.0 tools and MS Office

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Working knowledge of effective methods of dealing with children and adolescents
· Knowledge of school organization and its community
· Knowledge of expected behavioral patterns of students, characteristics of ages and stages
· Demonstrates and shares best practices with colleagues
· Keeps current with regards to best practices in Educational Psychology
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of student, colleague, and parent information.
· Ability to strike a balance between instructional objectives and parental involvement & choice
· Knowledge of a variety of tech based interventions and programs to support learners
· Communicates effectively with students
· Communicates effectively student progress to students, parents and staff
· Attends to tasks in a manner which maximizes instruction
· Maintains necessary student records
· Knowledge and experience of analyzing student behavior based on individual student need or profile (i.e. Functional Behavioral Analysis, BIPs - Behavior Intervention Plans) and partner or consult with learning coaches, teachers, counselors, or administration on how best to support a child with individual needs
· Establishes conditions under which students exercise self-discipline, honesty, leadership and citizenship
· Collaborates with colleagues, uses support staff appropriately and exhibits "team spirit."
· Familiar with the school's strategic plan, board policy and other relevant policy and procedure materials and seeks to comply with and implement these standards
· Attends department, grade level, task force, division and school wide meetings
· Performs student supervision responsibilities as assigned
